If you have been using a layout from "The Cutest Blog on the Block", you must first remove the HTML gadget you used for their background BEFORE you try to upload my layout. (You can always add this gadget again later if you want to use a different layout again but his must be disabled before my backgrounds will work.)
I love your blog templates, but after hours of trying to get them into my new blog (I have other blogs, just trying to start a new one) I think I have to give up. I followed the directions on the right side of your blog. Used "Minima", but I can't find the ] ] > < / b : skin > tag anywhere in it and after trying to figure it out on my own, I am left with a blank blog if I try to use it. Could very well be user error, I know, so I thought I would ask if you had any ideas what I am doing wrong. Thanks!
Hi there Ashley, me again. I found out that you need to upgrade from classic templates for the code to be there. However, the problem remains that I still can't sue any of the templates I have tried from your page (I tried several because they are cute!) because I get this error, "Invalid variable declaration in page skin: Variable name must not be declared twice. Input: bgcolor". Sorry to keep bugging you I just noticed that you use your templates with blogger and they seem to work. I am getting rather frustrated with blogger. Thanks if you have any advice.
Tanya, I'm sorry I have to reply to you here. I think your profile isn't public so I wasn't able to find your blog or your e-mail. Thanks for trying so hard to get my layouts! I admire your perseverance because I know first hand how frustrating this stuff can be sometimes!! The error you're getting about the bgcolor being used twice sounds like an error on my part. I went back through my layouts to try to figure it out and they all seem to be okay. I tried posting them on my sample page and that worked as well. When you try to post the new layout, are you starting from the beginning again with the directions? The only thing I can figure is that maybe there was some part of a code left over from the last layout you tried to post. Which layouts have you tried using that are giving you this error? I'm really sorry about the frustrations you've been having with this! My goal is to get this site as user-friendly as possible so I appreciate your feedback! I'm going to keep working to try to get this resolved soon so you can have a cute layout for fall! :)
*Log into your account and click on "Layout". *Click "Pick New Template" and choose the "Minima" template then "Save Template". *Wait for confirmation that your template has been saved, then click "Edit HTML" *Hit the ctrl and f keys on your keyboard simultaneously *copy the code below and paste it in the finder box ] ] > < / b : skin >
*LEAVE THIS AND EVERYTHING BELOW IT but delete everything above it *Click on the link under the picture of the template you want. *Copy all of it (except the line and the small blue text under it)and paste it where you just deleted. *Click "Save Template" and you're done!
